On February 22nd, Jagmeet's Community Office welcomed entrepreneurs and small businesses from across the province to take part in a workshop led by the Research, Innovation and Commercialization (RIC) Centre. The workshop included a special guest appearance by the Leader of Canada's New Democratic Party, Thomas Mulcair, as he dropped in to see the workshop in action.
Sunday's workshop for small businesses offered a rare opportunity for entrepreneurs from across the GTA to come together and learn about resources available to them in their community.
Led by the Research, Innovation, Commercialization (RIC) Centre, the workshop was a resounding success, and helped bring motivated entrepreneurs together with an organization dedicated to serving them as they build their businesses.
Jagmeet was particularly excited to welcome the workshop's special guest, the leader of Canada's federal New Democratic Party, Thomas Mulcair. Mulcair dropped by and met with the workshop leaders and attendees, and offered his thoughts on how Canada benefits from a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and the services provided by organizations like the RIC Centre.
